The vision
Intelligence should not
start from zero
every time you return.
You return to a project, explain its history and rebuild the working context. Even when a conversation is saved, carrying the right context into the next task remains a problem.
ALPHA starts from a different premise: intelligence becomes more useful when it can maintain continuity. The project is exploring what that requires in memory, learning and interaction.

01 — Present
Available within
the work.
The aim is to make intelligence part of a working environment: available when it can help, quiet when it cannot.
A desktop application and menu-bar controls are already part of the development build. A persistent character interface remains a design direction.
02 — Persistent
Keep what matters.
Know why it is there.
Continuity requires more than saving conversations. Context needs an origin, a history and a way to resolve corrections.
The current memory store keeps revisions and supporting evidence locally. The broader challenge is deciding which context is useful, when to retrieve it and when it should stop shaping an answer.
A design study
A detail with a source.
A preference you choose to share should keep its origin, rather than become an unexplained assumption.
Questions guiding the design; not a product demonstration.
03 — Evolving
A change is useful
only if it holds up.
Learning should improve future work without discarding what was already reliable. That is an engineering problem, not a promise that more memory or more parameters will solve it.
ALPHA’s development systems test proposed changes against held-out cases and retention checks. Some learning loops have been measured in bounded environments; broader competence remains unproven.

Personal context.
Deliberate control.
The goal is a working relationship shaped by the person using it. That requires clear boundaries around what ALPHA may observe, retain, learn from and act on.
Local storage and explicit permissions are part of the current foundation. A richer understanding of someone’s work is a long-term aim, rather than something this site claims to have achieved.
